Halcyon is pleased to announce that the Web UI will receive an update after 12:00 PM Pacific Time on 01/10/2023.

What's New:

Halcyon is excited to introduce Role Based Access Control (RBAC) and Device Tagging in this Console update.

RBAC:

Applies more granular permissions to what a Console user is allowed to view, create, update or delete based on the role assigned to the user account. When RBAC is enabled, every user account that existed previously will be assigned an Admin role. It will be the responsibility of the Console owners and designated administrators to assign the correct role to other user accounts. If a user is currently logged into the Console, that user will be logged out when their role is changed:

* Tenant features are not available to all customers and will only be exposed in the console if that feature has been approved by Halcyon.

Device Tagging:

Allows customer to add custom tags to devices. With this Console release, tags can be used to filter devices from the Devices page. Future functionality will be implemented utilizing device tagging and will be defined when the feature is released.

Tag label requirements:

  • Tag must begin with a letter (a-z)
  • Lower case letters only
  • May contain numbers (0-9)
  • May contain underscore ( _ )
  • May contain dash ( - )
